50 Years of Space Exploration

by mindhacker on October 22, 2009

Recently as apart of National Geographic’s map of a day series they published a very interesting map about 50 years of space exploration. Apparently the author of that map (or whoever) uploaded it to flickr under a creative’s common license, so me and you can share it (yuppie).

What this map show’s is how many missions we have sent to other planet’s, the sun and of course the Pioneer and Voyager’s missions to intersteller space . Apparently we have sent 9 probes to the sun itself. The moon top’s the list with 73 missions while Mars get’s second place with 40 missions. To fully enjoy this great graphic view it in full screen mode below.
