STS 125 Launch

Earlier we notified you about the coming Space Shuttle “Atlantis” Hubble Service Mission. At 2pm today (EST), Atlantis took off from the Kennedy Space Center for its most daring mission ever.

The launch took place from the traditional Launch Pad 39-A at the Kennedy Space Centre. Within ten minutes, main engines cut off and Atlantis was in orbit. The 11 day mission will complete repair work and new instrument installation at Hubble.

NASA TV broadcast the launch free across North America and online as well. Here is NASA TV’s T minus 1 countdown to launch. You never get bored watching launch videos. Amazing as always.
