XP Running on Windows 7

Microsoft recently showcased the release candidate 1 (RC1) for windows 7. Now after the poor performance of Vista, Microsoft has been trying to make all kind of amends with this release, on which a lot is depending  for the company.

Personally I didn’t use Vista for more than a few days, it was a big bloat on your system with huge backward compatibility issues. Microsoft have understood this and have provided a great solution for people like me. What they’ve done is incorporate a fully functional windows xp using Microsoft virtual pc software. This allows people to run their old apps on windows xp within windows 7 with no compatibility issues.  Dubbed as the XP mode it is going to be free of cost for windows 7 ultimate, professional and ultimate versions ( why so many versions Microsoft ? ). For us this is a great move as it allows Microsoft to focus on improvement of windows without caring for backward compatibility which can be a pain. Now I’m truly looking forward for 7.
